Julia Fox Boots: How Does She Style Them?

So, I saw Julia Fox rocking those crazy boots, and I thought, “I gotta have those!” But, like, who has the cash for designer footwear? Not me! So, I decided to take matters into my own hands and make my own version. It was a wild ride, but I did it, and I’m here to share the whole messy process with you.

Getting Started

First, I needed some boots. I hit up a local thrift store and found a pair of old black, knee-high ones for, like, ten bucks. Score! They were kinda boring, but that’s what makes them perfect for a total makeover. I also grabbed some fabric scraps I had lying around – some shiny silver stuff, some weird textured black material. You know, just random things that looked kinda cool and edgy.

The Messy Part

Next, I started chopping things up. I cut the fabric into strips and weird shapes, not really following any pattern. Just going with the flow. Then came the glue. Oh boy, the glue. I used this heavy-duty fabric glue, and let me tell you, it got everywhere. My fingers were sticky, the table was sticky, even the cat got a little glue on her tail. (Don’t worry, she’s fine.)

I started wrapping and gluing the fabric pieces around the boots, overlapping them, making it look all textured and crazy. I added some extra strips around the top of the boots, making them look kinda like they were melting or something. It was controlled chaos, you know?

The Finishing Touches

Once the glue was all dry (which took forever, by the way), I added some final touches. I found some old chains and attached them to the boots with more glue and some safety pins. I also glued on some random studs and spikes I had in my craft box. It was all about making these boots look as extra as possible.

The Result

  • They’re loud.
  • They’re unique.
  • They’re totally me.

They might not be perfect, but I love them. They’re a little rough around the edges, and there’s definitely some glue showing in places, but that just adds to the charm, right? I wore them out to the grocery store, and people definitely stared. I even got a few compliments! Some people thought it was strange mermaid outfit, but I think it’s cool. I felt like a total rockstar, even though I was just buying milk and eggs.

So, yeah, that’s the story of my DIY Julia Fox boots. It was a fun, messy, and totally rewarding experience. If you’re feeling inspired, go ahead and try making your own! Just be prepared for a lot of glue and a lot of stares.
