Okay, so, I’ve been wanting to try out this new fragrance, Acqua di Giò Profondo Parfum. I finally got my hands on it and here’s how it went down.

First off, I went online and did some digging. Seems like it’s a new take on the classic Acqua di Giò, launched just this year, 2024. The top notes are all about the sea – marine notes, bergamot, green mandarin. Sounds refreshing, right?
Then I started reading about how to actually apply this stuff. I mean, you don’t just splash it on and call it a day. There’s a whole art to this, apparently. You gotta hit those pulse points – wrists, inner elbow, neck. That’s where your body heat can really make the fragrance pop. And the key is not to go overboard. One spray per spot, they say. Don’t wanna knock people out with your cologne.
Now, I also learned that Profondo has this “earthy vibe” thanks to some patchouli and cistus. It’s supposed to give it a warm, deep feel. I was curious to see how that played out.
So, I got the bottle. Nice design, by the way. It’s got this gradient blue look, like the deep ocean. Anyway, I followed the advice I found. Sprayed a bit on my wrists, inner elbows, and neck. Then I waited. And you know what? It really does work. The scent kinda blooms as you go about your day.
I noticed that it’s not too strong at first, very transparent, just a hint of that salty, aquatic freshness. But as my body warmed up, the fragrance started to project more. Especially when I was out and about, moving around. It’s like the scent woke up. And I gotta say, the opening of this fragrance is amazing. It’s super fresh and clean, exactly what I was hoping for.

Later in the day, I started to pick up on those earthy notes. The patchouli and cistus, they really do add another layer to it. It’s not just a fresh, aquatic scent anymore. It’s got some depth, some warmth. I also applied some unscented lotion before the perfume. It made the fragrance last even longer. I sprayed five times in total: behind each ear, the back of my neck, and two on each forearm.
All in all, I’m pretty impressed with Acqua di Giò Profondo Parfum. It’s fresh, it’s deep, it lasts a good while, and it’s not overpowering. If you’re into aquatic scents but want something with a bit more going on, I’d say give this one a try. Just remember the pulse points and don’t overdo it!
- Pulse points are key.
- Less is more when it comes to sprays.
- The scent evolves throughout the day.
Final Thoughts
This fragrance is a winner in my book. It’s become my new go-to. I just love how it makes me feel – fresh, confident, and ready to take on the day.
