So yesterday I’m walking around Wailea looking for that Tourneau watch shop everyone keeps talking about. My phone’s dying slow so I pull up Google Maps quick while there’s juice left. Type in Tourneau Wailea and it shows up near the Shops at Wailea place.
Getting there’s kinda confusing though. The map puts it along that fancy hotel strip near Andaz and Four Seasons. I start walking past all these designer stores – Gucci, Tiffany’s, Louis Vuitton whatever. My feet already hurting from them flip-flops.
After passing three jewelry shops that ain’t it, I ask some valet dude “Where Tourneau at?” He points down this open-air walkway saying “Keep going past Ruth’s Chris steakhouse.” Real helpful guy.
Took me another ten minutes wandering past art galleries and perfume shops. Finally spot it tucked between some high-end sunglasses store and a clothing boutique. Big clear windows showing off all them shiny watches.
Walked inside feeling like I don’t belong there. Sales guy in sharp suit comes over smiling. “Looking for anything special today?” I just mumble “Just browsing man” while pretending I know watches.
Place feels like jewelry bank vault – clean white walls, glass cases everywhere, spotlights making every watch look expensive. Saw Rolexes, Pateks, even one watch costs more than my car.
Wrist-checked two pieces just for kicks. Sales dude was cool about it even though my tank top and boardshorts scream “can’t afford this.” He showed me this Omega Seamaster with blue dial that looked sick.
Spent maybe twenty minutes just gaping at fancy timepieces before thanking him and dipping out. Didn’t buy nothing cause that’s real people money, but neat seeing where celebs probably shop. Left through the mall exit near Tommy Bahama store.
If you ever visiting Maui and want to window-shop luxury watches, now you know Tourneau’s hiding in them Shops at Wailea. Wear nicer shoes than I did.
