Days Jewelers Nashua: How to easily find us? (Get simple directions to our store and check current hours)

So, I found myself needing to head over to Nashua the other day. It wasn’t exactly a planned expedition, more like one of those things that just pops up. My wife’s favorite necklace, the one she wears all the time, well, the clasp decided to give up the ghost. Just snapped. You know how it is, these little things can cause a surprising amount of distress.

I remembered someone, ages ago, mentioning a jewelry spot up there. Day’s Jewelers, I think it was. Honestly, names of stores like that usually go in one ear and out the other for me, but this one stuck for some reason. Maybe because I drove past it once when I was completely lost trying to find that old hardware store, the one that used to be on Main Street before it moved. Anyway, I digress.

So, with the broken necklace carefully tucked away, I made the trip. Found the place easily enough this time, thankfully. It’s in one of those plaza-type areas, you know, with a bunch of other shops. Parking wasn’t a nightmare, which is always a good start in my book. I really hate circling for parking, feels like such a waste of time.

Walked in. It was, well, a jewelry store. Bright lights, shiny things everywhere. Exactly what you’d expect, I suppose. It wasn’t overly crowded, which I appreciated. I’m not a fan of being jostled when I’m trying to get something done. A couple of people were looking at engagement rings, I think. Always a big decision, that one.

I went up to the counter, the one that looked like it was for repairs and stuff. Showed the fella the necklace. He took a look, a real close look, with one of those little eye-magnifier things. Took him about two seconds. “Yep, simple fix,” he said. Music to my ears, honestly. I was half expecting some complicated diagnosis, you know, “Oh, this is a rare Tanzanian clasp from the late Qing dynasty, we’ll have to send it to a specialist in Switzerland.” But no, thankfully it was straightforward.

He told me it would be ready in about an hour or so. An hour. Not bad. Better than having to come back another day. So, I had some time to kill. I figured, well, I’m here, might as well look around. Not that I was planning on buying anything. My wallet usually clenches up tight in places like this.

What I noticed while waiting

So I wandered a bit. They had a decent selection of watches, which I always gravitate towards. Some pretty fancy ones, others more everyday. I even saw a brand my dad used to wear. Brought back a memory or two. He was always very particular about his watch.

The staff seemed busy but not frantic. Someone asked if I needed help, but I just said I was browsing while waiting. They were polite, left me to it. I prefer that, really. Don’t like feeling pressured.

  • The display cases were very clean. Sounds like a small thing, but you notice.
  • They had a little area with estate jewelry, which was kind of interesting. Old pieces with a bit of history, I guess.
  • The lighting, as I said, was bright. Very bright. You could definitely see any imperfections, which is probably the point.

After about forty-five minutes, maybe a bit longer, I went back to the counter. The necklace was ready. He showed it to me, clasp all fixed, good as new. Maybe even a bit shinier, or perhaps that was just the bright lights playing tricks on my eyes.

Paid for the repair. It was a reasonable amount, I thought. Didn’t break the bank, which is always a relief. The whole process was pretty smooth, actually. Went in with a problem, came out with it solved. Can’t ask for much more than that, can you?

So, yeah, that was my little adventure to that spot in Nashua. Got the necklace fixed, wife was happy. And I didn’t even get lost this time. All in all, a successful outing. It’s funny how sometimes the most mundane errands stick in your mind a bit, isn’t it?
