My Airport Adventure – Trying to Spot Dove Cameron
Okay, so here’s the thing. I heard some chatter, you know, online whispers, that Dove Cameron might be flying out of LAX around early 2024. Don’t ask me where I heard it, just one of those things you pick up scrolling around. I had a flight booked myself around that time, completely unrelated, just visiting my sister.
So, I got this idea. Maybe I’d see her? Not like I was gonna bother her or anything, just curious. It’s kinda fun seeing famous people just doing normal stuff, right? My flight was out of Terminal 4, but the rumor mill kinda hinted she might be using a different one, maybe Tom Bradley International or something swankier.
Getting to the Airport
Anyway, I got to LAX way earlier than I needed to. Like, ridiculously early. Figured I’d check my bags, get through security, and then just wander a bit. First step, dropped off my suitcase. That took forever, the line was massive. Already sweating a bit, not from heat, just the usual airport stress.
The “Search” Begins
Security was surprisingly quick for once. Grabbed my stuff, put my shoes back on, and thought, right, let’s do a lap. I started just walking, you know? Keeping my eyes peeled. Lots of people rushing about, families, business folks, the usual chaos.
- Walked towards the international terminal first. It’s huge. Lots of fancy shops.
- Kept glancing at faces, trying to be subtle. Felt a bit silly, honestly.
- Saw a few people who looked sorta famous from a distance, but nah, just regular folks with good style.
- Grabbed a coffee to blend in, sat near one of the gates people mentioned online. Watched the departures board.
Observations and Reality Check
It’s funny how you imagine these things. You think you’ll just casually bump into someone. But airports are massive, and celebs? They probably have ways to just glide through without us normal people ever noticing. Special entrances, private lounges, the whole deal. I saw a few paparazzi types hanging near one entrance, looking bored. That kinda told me maybe someone was expected, but who knows who or when.
Heading to My Gate
After about an hour of this “reconnaissance,” I realized my own flight time was getting closer. Plus, my feet hurt. Gave up on the celebrity hunt. Headed back towards Terminal 4. It felt way more down-to-earth there. Less glitz.
So, did I see Dove Cameron? Nope. Not a glimpse. Maybe she flew on a different day, different airport, maybe she was wearing a hat and sunglasses, maybe she was never even there! Who knows. It was a bit of a bust from that perspective.

But hey, I killed some time, got my steps in, and realized how nuts that whole celebrity spotting thing can be. Mostly, I just ended up people-watching and drinking overpriced coffee. Just another day traveling, really. Made for a slightly more interesting wait at the gate, I guess. Got on my plane, flew to my sister’s, end of story.
