Okay, so I got curious about the Audi RS8 MSRP the other day. Heard some chatter, maybe saw something online, I don’t quite remember, but the name stuck in my head. Figured I’d look it up, see what kind of price tag that beast carries.
My Little Search Adventure
First thing, fired up my trusty old laptop. Took a minute to boot, as usual. Then opened up my browser, went straight to Google. Typed in the obvious: “Audi RS8 MSRP”. Hit enter.
Got a bunch of results back, naturally. Scrolled through the first page. Saw links to car review sites, forums, some news articles speculating about an RS8. Lots of talk, lots of pictures of what might be an RS8, often looking like souped-up S8s.
But here’s the thing: I wasn’t seeing anything official from Audi itself. No landing page on the Audi USA or global site for an “RS8”. No configurator. No press releases announcing its price.
So, I tried tweaking my search. Maybe it was a regional thing? Tried “Audi RS8 price Germany”. Same deal. Lots of discussion, fan renders, but no solid MSRP from the manufacturer.
Went back to basics. Searched “Audi performance sedan models”. Okay, saw the RS3, RS5, RS6 Avant, RS7, e-tron GT RS… and the S8. The S8 kept popping up near the top of the A8 line.
Hitting a Wall (Sort Of)
At this point, I started thinking, “Hang on, does Audi actually make an RS8 for sale right now?” It seemed weird not to find a single official price listing if it was a current production car.
Did a bit more digging, specifically searching “Is there an Audi RS8?”. And yeah, that cleared it up. Found multiple sources explaining that Audi never actually released a production RS8. There was talk, maybe a concept car years ago, but it never hit the showrooms as an official model you could just walk in and buy.

- Confirmed the top dog for the A8 family is the S8.
- Realized the “RS8” is more of an enthusiast dream or maybe refers to custom builds.
So, the practical result of my search for the Audi RS8 MSRP? It doesn’t technically exist because the car isn’t an official production model. The closest thing you’ll find in that size and class from Audi’s main lineup is the S8. I did find the S8’s MSRP easily enough once I focused on that – starts somewhere around the $120k mark, give or take depending on the year and options. But no RS8 price tag to be found.
Just goes to show, sometimes you hear a model name thrown around and assume it’s out there, but you gotta check the official sources. Saved myself some confusion, anyway. The S8 is plenty of car, that’s for sure.
