Alright, so I was thinking about this whole Vanity Fair Young Hollywood thing the other day. It wasn’t like I planned it, just kinda happened while I was killing time.
My Process, Basically
I was scrolling, you know, just browsing online, not looking for anything specific. Then I saw some headline about the new VF Young Hollywood cover. Clicked on it, mostly out of habit I guess. I’ve seen these covers come and go for years now.
So, I started looking through the photos. First impression? Okay, nice pictures, fancy clothes, the usual drill. They always pick folks who are kinda bubbling up, right? Some I recognized, some were totally new faces to me.
I didn’t dive super deep into the articles this time. Honestly, I mostly just scanned. I looked at who they picked. My thought process went something like this:
- Okay, who’s this one? Seen them in that show.
- Never heard of this person. What are they in?
- Ah, right, that movie everyone was talking about.
- Hmm, interesting choice there.
It’s kinda funny. Back when I was younger, seeing stuff like this felt… different. Maybe more exciting? Like seeing the future unfold or something dramatic like that. Now? It’s more like just observing. Seeing the machine at work, you know?
I spent maybe 10 minutes on it. Just clicking through the gallery, reading a caption here and there. Didn’t save anything, didn’t bookmark it. It was just a moment of checking out what the buzz was about.

Then I moved on. Made myself a coffee, started thinking about what I actually needed to get done. It’s like seeing a billboard drive by. You notice it, maybe you think about it for a second, and then your mind goes back to the road.
So yeah, that was my “practice” with the Vanity Fair Young Hollywood stuff this year. No big revelations, just a quick look-see. Another year, another batch of fresh faces getting the spotlight. That’s about the long and short of it.
