Alright, let me tell you about this little project I did recently, getting a Snoopy watch face onto my smartwatch. It turned out to be a bit more fiddly than I first thought, but kinda satisfying in the end.

So, I was just browsing around the other day, looking at custom watch faces. You know how it is, sometimes you just want something different on your wrist. I stumbled across some really neat Snoopy designs. Big fan of Peanuts since I was a kid, so I thought, “Yeah, I gotta get one of those.”
Getting Started
First thing, I checked what app I needed. Seemed like most of these custom faces work with specific apps you gotta install on both your phone and your watch. I already had one installed from ages ago, think it was Facer or something similar, so I figured I was halfway there.
I found a Snoopy face I really liked – one where he’s sleeping on his doghouse. Classic. Downloaded the file for it. Seemed simple enough.
The Actual Process
Okay, here’s where the fun started. I opened the watch face app on my phone and tried to send the new Snoopy face over to my watch. The app could see my watch, connection seemed fine. But hitting ‘send’ or ‘sync’… nothing happened on the watch. Just stayed on the old face.
I tried a few times. Rebooted the phone. Rebooted the watch. Checked the Bluetooth connection again. Everything looked okay, but still no Snoopy. Annoying!

Then I remembered sometimes you gotta make sure the companion app on the watch itself is actually running or selected. So, I went into the watch settings, found the ‘select watch face’ option. Scrolled through the list. Ah! There was the main app I was using (Facer, or whatever it was). I selected that one first.
Went back to the phone app. Tried syncing the Snoopy face again. This time, bingo! The little loading circle appeared on the watch screen. Took maybe 30 seconds, and then… there he was! Snoopy, chilling on his doghouse right there on my wrist.
End Result
Pretty pleased with how it looks. It’s not super fancy, no crazy animations, but it’s clean, easy to read the time, and just makes me smile when I check it. It was one of those small things that took a bit more poking around than expected, but felt good to figure out. Just needed to make sure the right app was active on the watch end before sending the specific face from the phone. Simple fix, really, just took me a minute to remember it.
So yeah, got my Snoopy watch now. A fun little customization that makes the tech feel a bit more personal.
