Okay, so I’ve been seeing this trend everywhere – neckties on women. I was like, “Hmm, that’s interesting,” and decided to jump in and see what the hype was all about. I mean, I always thought ties were just for guys in suits, you know?

My Little Experiment
First things first, I needed a tie. I didn’t own any, obviously. So, I raided my dad’s closet – sorry, Dad! – and found a few old ones. A classic striped one, a funky patterned one, and a plain black one. I figured I’d try a few different looks.
Next, I watched like a million videos. Seriously, it was overload. Some were super complicated, others were pretty basic. I started with the simple four-in-hand knot, because, let’s be real, I’m no tie expert.
Trying It On…
My first attempt? Disaster. It was all crooked and loose. I felt like a kid playing dress-up. But hey, practice makes perfect, right? I kept at it, and after a few (okay, maybe a lot) of tries, I finally got something that looked halfway decent.
Then came the styling part. I tried a few different outfits:
- With a Button-Down Shirt: This was the classic look. I tucked the shirt into some high-waisted jeans, put on the striped tie, and, I gotta say, I felt pretty cool. Like a boss lady or something.
- With a Blazer: Added a blazer over the shirt and tie combo. It definitely took it up a notch. Super chic, I thought!
- With a Dress: This one was a bit more daring. I wore a simple black dress and added the black tie. It was a cool, unexpected twist,I have to say.
- Over a sweater:Super unexpected,wear a tie over a crew neck *’s very chic!
The Verdict?
Honestly, I’m into it! It’s such a simple way to add a little something extra to an outfit. It’s not something I’d wear every day, but it’s definitely fun to play around with. And, I learned a new skill – tying a tie! Who knew?

I’m still experimenting with different knots and styles. And I’m thinking about getting some ties of my own, maybe some skinnier ones or ones with cool patterns. My dad’s closet can only take so much, haha.
So, if you’re curious about the necktie trend, I say give it a shot! It might surprise you. Just be prepared for a bit of a learning curve with the knot-tying. And don’t be afraid to experiment and find what works for you. Have fun with it!
