Today, I really wanted to figure out if Hunter rain boots run big. So I hopped online to do some digging.
First, I checked out a few websites. It seems like most folks say that Hunter boots are pretty true to size. But get this, some people actually think they run a bit large! I guess it depends on your feet. They only come in whole sizes, which can be a pain if you’re in between.
- If you’re eyeing the Original style, and you’re between sizes, a lot of people recommend going a size down.
- But, if you like the Refined style like me, it sounds like sticking with your normal size or sizing up if you’re in between is the way to go.
Then I got to thinking, what if they are big or small? Well, I found out you can actually stretch them out a little using heat! All you need is a hairdryer and some thick socks. You put on the thick socks, blast your boots with the hairdryer, and walk around in them until they cool down. It is amazing!
So, after all this research, I decided to order my usual size in the Refined style. When they arrived, I tried them on, and guess what? They fit perfectly! I even had a little extra room, which is great for thick socks on colder days.
My Personal Experience
I wore them out in the rain yesterday, and they were super comfy. No slipping, no tightness, just perfect. I walked through some pretty big puddles, and my feet stayed totally dry. Success!
So, from my experience, I’d say if you’re unsure about sizing, maybe go with your usual size, especially with the Refined style. And if they end up a tiny bit big, don’t worry, you can always try the hairdryer trick or just wear thicker socks.
