1971 Porsche 914 for Sale: Find the Best price for your dream car.

by Cornell Yule

Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this 1971 Porsche 914 model, and let me tell you, it’s been a ride.

Getting Started

First things first, I gotta find some good reference images. You know, just Googling around, checking out forums, seeing what other people have done. It’s all about getting a good feel for the car, the details, that sort of thing.

The Build

Then came the fun part – actually putting the thing together! I started with the chassis, you know, the basic frame. I snapped those pieces together, no problem. It was pretty straightforward.

  • Attached the wheels. Had a little trouble with one of them, kept popping off, but I got it eventually.
  • Worked on the interior. Tiny seats, tiny steering wheel… My big fingers were definitely struggling a bit! But I managed.
  • Painted the body. Went with a classic orange. I mean, it’s a 914, it’s gotta be orange, right?

Details, Details

After the main stuff, I focused on the little details. Added some decals, did some weathering to make it look a little used, not too pristine. You know, give it some character.

It takes a bit of the work and time, but eventually, you can make it.

The Finished Product

And… done! It’s not perfect, my hands aren’t the steadiest, but I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. It’s sitting on my shelf now, looking pretty good next to the other models. It’s always awesome when you see it finally done!
